Hi, I'm Alison, a newly retired teacher exploring my love for knitting and the sea! I decided to open Handmade in Herne Bay after making Olly Octopus for my granddaughter, Bella. Since then we've had Peter Puffin, Dolly Dolphin, Susan Seagull... ! No two creations are exactly alike, but all are made with love.
All my creations are made from acrylic wool and are therefore 100% machine washable (other wools can be used on request, though price may vary). The eyes are sewn on so that there is no choking hazard with detachable buttons.
